I drove to San Antonio this last week, and the wildflowers were glorious.

I believe the areas south of San Antonio and to the east of us here have got more rain (during winter) and thus have the more gorgeous widlflower displays.

I think I once mentioned that we saw excellent displays of wildflowers in Karnes County in the spring of 2012. If you have reports that that area is good again this year, I hope you’ll get back for a visit. We might have to go back to our old place soon. Maybe the wildflowers are still in bloom then. We’ll see.

Eigentlich hatten wir gar keinen richtigen Winter, sondern auch im Januar und Februar schon haeufig fruehlingshafte Temperaturen, aber vor etwa zwei, drei Wochen ging es richtig los. Leider hatten wir dann einen leichten Nachtfrost und der hat eineige frische Triebe erfrieren lassen, aber wir hoffen, dass die betroffenen Pflanzen sich erholen.
