Ziemlich grell, oder?
Would you really want to live in a hotel the rooms of which overlook this scene? The Big Cypress Lodge has only a very few rooms that have an outside view. All others face this „splendid“ view, at close to $200 upwards. We at least prefered the Fire Station #6 B&B, a quaint and picturesque place with quite a unique character.
Will jemand wirklich in einem Hotel wohnen, das diesen „wundervollen“ Ausblick bietet? Die Big Cypress Lodge hat nämlich nur weniger Zimmer, die einen Ausblick nach draußen gewähren. Alle anderen haben diese „prächtige“ Aussicht zu bieten, und das zu einem Preis von knapp 200 Dollar und mehr. Wir jedenfalls haben das Fire Station #6 Bed and Breakfast vorgezogen, eine (etwas) wunderliche und malerische Unterkunft mit einem einmaligen Charakter.

I agree: it’s better now than an empty but I don’t really like the interior. From the outside, it really is unique, though.

an diesem ausgefallenen Ort möchte ich meine Ferien nicht unbeingt verbringen! Ich glaube, da würde es mir bei dir zu Hause viel besser gefallen.:) Vielen dank, lieber Pit und eine gute Woche. Cari saluti Martina

Hallo Martina,
urspruenglich, als wir dieses Innere noch nicht kannten, hatten wir schon mit dem Gedanken gespielt, in dem Hotel in der Pyramide zu uebernachten, weil sie ja Zimmer mit Ausblick auf den Mississippi haben. Aber der Preis hielt uns davon ab – zum Glueck, wie wir dann festgestellt haben!
Da hat uns dann das AirB&B VIEL besser gefallen.

There’s a bank in Alvin, Texas, that used to have an alligator in a moat in its lobby. They called it their „tellegator.“

When we saw this, alligators in there, and fish, too, we were didn’t like this. We thought it might not be good for the animals to spend their lives inside and in artificial light.
