After having already contributed one post to Manni’s photoproject „Sunsets/Sunrises“[Mannisfotobude – 1. Fotoprojekt „Sonnenuntergang/aufgang“] with a time lapse video of a sunrise over Palo Duro Canyon, here’s another contribution, of a sunset over Karnes County, taken from the backyard of our former place just outside of Karnes City, looking north. Actually, I’ve already shown this picture hre on this blog a long time ago.

Nachdem ich schon einmal einen Beitrag zum Thema „Sonnenuntergang/Sonnenaufgang“ [Mannisfotobude – 1. Fotoprojekt „Sonnenuntergang/aufgang“] gepostet habe, mit einem Zeitraffer-Video von einem Sommenaufgang über dem Palo Duro Canyon, hier nun ein weiterer Beitrag, dieses Mal mit einem Bild von einem Sonnenuntergang über Karnes County [Blick nordwärts aus dem Garten unseres früheren Wohnorts eben außerhalb von Karnes City. Dieses Foto habe ich übrigens schon vor Längerem hier in diesem Blog gezeigt:

Cool shot! I saw Linda’s „anvil“ comment, and thought it was very apt, and just looked it up, I hadn’t known there really is a thing called anvil clouds!

musste gleich nachschauen und sieht echt bedrohlich aus ! Weltuntergangsstimmung !

Die Bearbeitung mit EasyHDR macht es etwas bedrohlicher als das Original es zeigt, eber ich wollte nicht darauf verzichten, mehr Details der Landschaft sehen zu koennen. Im Original ist das Alles „abgesoffen“. Extrem bedrohlich sah es uebrigens in der Einstellung „dramatic dark“ bei EasyHDR aus. Das war mir dann aber doch zuviel des Guten.

Ich kannte diese Form nur als „Ambosswolken“. Beim Nachschlagen habe ich gelernt, dass sie zu den Cumulonimbus-Wolken gehoeren.

Wir hoffen schon, dass es zumindest dieser Bach seine Grenzen kennt. Als wir unsere neue Garage gebaut haben, haben wir im Lageplan nachgeschaut und sichergestellt, dass sie oberhalb der 100-Jahre Flutlinie steht.
