Pferdeportrait

On May 8 this year we had, besides other celebrations and events, a parade to mark the occasion of the 175th year of the treaty between the Comanche and the white settlers here in the region. There were some horse-drawn carts, and here’s a close-up of one of the horses:

Am 8. Mai diesen Jahres hatten wir, nebst anderen Feierlichkeiten und Veranstaltungen, eine Parade zur Feier des 175. Jahrestages des Vertrages zwischen den Komantschen und den weißen Siedlern hier in der Gegend. In der Parade waren auch einige von Pferden gezogene Wagen, und hier ist die Nahaufnahme eines dieser Pferde:

This foto was taken on the former LBJ Ranch – now Lyndon B Johnson National Historical Park – in Johnson City/TX. For this pisture I decided on using EasyHDR, but get a clour-renderning, not a black-and-white one:

Dieses Foto ist entstanden auf der früheren Ranch – heute Lyndon B Johnson National Historical Park – von Lyndon B. Johnson, dem 36. Präsidenten der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika, in Johnson City/TX. Für dieses Foto habe ich mich für eine Wiedergabe in Farbe und nicht in schwarz-weiss entschieden, allerdings für die gegenüber dem Original detailreichere LDR-Version:

Looking through pictures of previous travels I happened to come across one I took in in 2011 in England, on Mary Arden’s farm in Stratford-upon-Avon, and which I have already shown here [„Ein Pferdeportrait„]. But this time I converted it into B&W, and I think the result is worth showing it again:

Beim Sichten meiner früheren Reisebilder kam mir eines unter, das ich im Frühjahr 2011 in England gemacht habe, auf Mary Arden’s Farm in Stratford-upon-Avon. Ich habe das hier [„Ein Pferdeportrait„] schon einmal gezeigt, aber dieses Mal habe ich es in S/W konvertiert und ich denke, das Resultat ist zeigenswert geworden:
