It’s about 9 months now that we were in Fort Davis, and I still have a lot of pictures to show and articles to write. Here are a few shots I took there through a lensball. First some of the Courthouse in Marfa:

Lensball Experiments #1

During our visit to the Lost Maples State Natura Area two weeks ago I took quite a few pictures through my lensball, and then – at home – experimented with them in my photo editors, ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate 2022 and EasyHDR. Here is the first batch I want to show:

Während unseres Besuchs in der Lost Maples State Natural Area vor zwei Wochen habe ich eine ganze Reihe von Fotos durch meine Glaskugel gemacht und dann – zuhause – in meinem Foto-Bearbeitungsprogramm ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate 2022 und EasyHDR damit experimentiert. A Slightly Different Kind of Selfie

I had wanted to just take a lensball picture of the Sabinal River near our accommodation, but when I looked closely at this picture on the big screen of my computer, I found out that it might well pass for a selfie:

Living-Room through the Lensball – a Still Life

Some time ago I bought a caliper stand for a lensball because I wanted somethin different from my usual acrylic pipe, something that looks better, and I got a wooden one. Unfortunately it is a tad too delicate to take it with me on my photo ops, but it makes a nice decoration in the house, and there also for some still lifes. Here’s my first one:

Wohnzimmer durch die Glaskugel – ein Stillleben

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich mir eine Art Schraubzwinge als Ständer für meine Glaskugel zugelegt, weil ich etwas Anderes haben wollte als dieses Rohr aus Acrylglas, das ich normalerweise immer verwende. Leider ist dieser Ständer aber etwas zu zerbrechlich um ihn für meine Fotos mit nach draußen zu nehmen, aber einerseits ist er im Hause sehr dekorativ und andererseits auch gut für Stillleben geeignet.
