That’s what we call the area along Frederick Road, which we like to preserve as a pollinator and wildlife habitat and therefore mow only once or twice a year, in autumn. This is what it looks like after the first mowing, when the lawn mower wasn’t able to get through totally:

I tried to prepare some of it for wildflower seeds, and I’ve put out some. Let’s hope they’ll come out in spring. The Remainder of that area will have to be mowed over again once or even twice. During the summer, when that grass is at its highest, we always hope that the city won’t compel us to mow as a city ordinance says that in residential areas grass mustn’t be taller than 1 foot.
Ich habe versucht, etwas davon für Wildblumensamen vorzubereiten, und ich habe welche ausgesäht. Hoffent wir, dass sie im Frühjahr herauskommen.
