As I wrote in my other blog, „Pit’s Fritztown News„, under the title „California and Elsewhere #27: From St. George/UT to Cortez/CO„, on our drive from St. George in Utah to Cortez in Colorado we made a number of stops to admire the fantastic scenery, including at the „scenic overlook“ on Highway 89A. Here are some pictures in black and white, which I think look good because of the clouds:

Dieser Punkt bot eine fantastische Aussicht auf die Vermilion Cliffs der Grand Staircase, einer Felsformation die sich vom Colorado River in Arizona bis nach Utah hinein erstreckt.

On our trip along the Californian Coast from Half Moon Bay to Santa Cruz we stopped and visited the Pigeon Point Lighthouse, where I experimented some with my diagonal fisheye lens, Here’s one of these pictures which I later worked over even more:
