While editing my pictures for the report on my other blog, „Pit’s Fritztown News“ about the Virginia & Truckee Railway heritage train ride, I had the idea that the pictures of the old classic steam locomotive in particular would also work well for rendering in black and white and sepia might be worth while. Here are these edits:

On our trip along the Californian Coast from Half Moon Bay to Santa Cruz we stopped and visited the Pigeon Point Lighthouse, where I experimented some with my diagonal fisheye lens, Here’s one of these pictures which I later worked over even more:

I’ve always thought that steel bridges with their structures lend themselves quite nicely to rendrings in black and white. Auf seinem Blog „Mannis Fotobude“ hat Manni einmal mehr zur Teilnahme an einem weiteren, seinem sechzehnten, Fotoprojekt aufgerufen, dieses Mal zum Thema „Schwarz/Weiß“. Ich war schon immer der meinung, dass sich stählerne Brücken mit ihren Strukturen ganz besonders für die Wiedergabe in Schwarz/Weiß eignen. Hier ist nun mein Beitrag zu dem Thema, ein Bild der Big River Crossing Brücke über den Mississippi in Memphis/Tennessee:
