Aransas Wildlife Refuge Appetithäppchen

It’s been quite some time that Maren Arndt [of the blog “Maren’s Fotoblog“] visited Texas and together we went on a birding tour in the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, and I have not yet shown any picture here. Well, at least here’s and appetizer:

Es ist nun schon eine ganze Weile her, dass Maren Arndt [vom Blog „Maren’s Fotoblog“] Texas besucht hat und wir zusammen eine Vogelbeobachtungstour im Aransas National Wildlife Refuge gemacht haben, und ich habe hier noch kein einziges Bild gezeigt. Nun, zumindest ist hier ein Appetithäppchen:

More is about to come, but it will take a while because we’ll be on a 4-week tour of Ireland soon.

Es wird noch mehr kommen, aber das wird eine Weile dauern, weil wir bald auf eine 4-wöchige Irlandreise gehen.

A Morning at the Bird Bath

Yesterday morning, there were quite a few birds – mostly Robins, I believe – at one of the bird baths on the walkway behind our house. I could not catch the real multitude, and the pictures with my smartphone through the windows and at quite a distance are not the best, but I’d like to show them anyway:

Gestern Morgen gab es ziemlich viele Vögel – größtenteils Rotkehlchen, glaube ich – an einem der Vogelbäder auf dem Gehweg hinter unserem Haus. Die wirkliche Menge konnte ich nicht in Foto einfangen, und die Bilder mit meinem Smartphone durch die Fenster und aus ziemlicher Entfernung sind nicht die besten, aber ich möchte sie trotzdem zeigen:
