That’s a caption that comes to my mind when I see this picture of 4 Whooping Cranes walking in Indian file in the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, and that’s why I’m presenting this photo here even if it’s really not of a good quality:

Das ist ein Titel, der mir in den Sinn kommt, wenn ich dieses Bild von 4 Schreikranichen sehe, wie sie im Gänsemarsch durch das Aransas National Wildlife Refuge marschieren, und deswegen zeige ich das Bild hier, auch wenn es von der Qualität her nicht unbedingt so gut ist:

Well, actually the title of the movie comedy was „Three Amigos„, but still, these 4 guys here look funny, too, don’t they?

Na ja, eigentlich war der Titel der Westernkomödie ja „Three Amigos„, aber diese 4 Kerle hier sehen doch auch komisch aus, oder?

On our boat tour to see the Whooping Cranes in the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge we left the marina in Lamar in the dark, before sunrise, and then „parked“ the boat at an artificial island created by the Army Corps of Engineers with stuff they dredged up from the Intracoastal Waterway, to wait for the sun to rise. Next to us was the „Black Jack“ the second boat of the „Aransas Bay Birding Charters„:

Für unsere Bootstour zu den Schreikranichen im Aransas National Wildlife Refuge sind wir schon im Dunkeln, noch vor Sonnenaufgang, in der Marina in Lamar losgefahren und haben dann das Boot an einer künstlichen Insel „geparkt“, die vom Army Corps of Engineers mit Material aufgeschüttet worden ist, das man aus dem Intracoastal Waterway gebaggert hat, und wir haben da auf den Sonnenaufgang gewartet. Ganz in unserer Nähe lag die „Black Jack“, das zweite Boot von „Aransas Bay Birding Charters„.

This morning I went on a boat tour [with Aransas Bay Birding Charters] to see Whooping Cranes – and other birds – in the Aransas Wildlife Refuge from the sea side, with the sun in the back. We started in the dark before sunrise and this is what it looked like when we were between Goose Island State Park and Matagorda Island and the sun came up:

Heute morgen war ich auf einer Bootstour [mit Aransas Bay Birding Charters], um Schreikraniche – und andere Vögel – im Aransas Wildlife Refuge von der Seeseite aus zu sehen, mit der Sonne im Rücken. Wir sind noch im Dunkeln vor Sonnenaufgang aufgebrochen und so sah es aus, als wir zwischen Goose Island State Park und Matagorda Island waren und die Sonne aufging:
