St. Louis/MO Bridges – Continued

It’s quite a while since I last published any of my pictures from our „RailTrailsRoadTrip“ in October last year. So I really need to continue. Here’s a picture of Eads Bridge. We passed underneath it on our 2-hour cruise of the waterfron to St. Louis.

This picture has been edited, I must admit, both with ACDSee Ultimate 9 [for a light equalizer] and with easyHDR [for enhancement of details], but I think this brings out the fine metal structure very well, even if it does look a tad artificial.

    1. Hallo Martina,
      Pit

    1. And a good Sunday morning to you, too, Amy, and thanks for the comment. I agree: it’s certainly an interesting structure. I just looked it up, it could be called a filigree lattice-truss. „Filigree“ – to my mind – expresses it very well.

    1. Thanks, John, for the comment. 🙂 As to „artificial“: if I remember correctly, the colours weren’t that vivid. But I like that the enhancing brought out so much detail. I really didn’t know what all was in the original picture. And until I started working my pictures over with HDR, I didn’t know how much detail could be retrieved. Actually, this picture is not true HDR, as that would need three or more picture with different exposures. The programme call this, from just one picture, „LDR“.

        1. I like the detail, too. I’m very happy I was able to bring that out.
          Have a great Sunday,

P.S.: How’s the weather down at the coast. Here, we had a thunderstorm, but a kind of“beneficial“ one: no damage, but good rain [1.6″].
